Did Tony Blair Plagiarise Stewart Lee?
Tony Blair’s memoirs were recently published to a wave of press attention and controversy, a great deal of this criticism has come from Stewart Lee, who believes the ex-premiere copied his idea of annotating his stand up routines. But are the two publications actually that similar? Take a look at this extract from “A Journey” and make your own mind up…

This is quite a good parody
Just read this in the appendix of Lee’s book and have to say it’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long time. Thanks for making my Friday morning.
Rather outraged that there is no invasion of appreciative comments below. In fact, possibly the second funniest thing I’ve read in a long time is ‘Mike”s rather under-stated, “this is quite a good parody”!
There were other funny parts in ‘How I Escaped…’ but your piece was the cherry on top of an overall interesting cake. Afraid I haven’t read the Blair memoirs so shouldn’t really comment if there is much humour in them.
Thanks again. Apologies for being over five years late to the party.
